Vegas .. The rest of the story

Jaren waited up for us Tuesday night. We got in on time, but it took a long time at the rental car compound and then I had to race to Macayos to get some chips and salsa before closing time. They actually had locked the doors but they let us come in. Jaren was trying to avoid me and my camera - but I caught him!
I love this kid!


We hung out a bit Tuesday night ate - Brooklyn and I took turns tormenting Jaren!
Jaren is such the thinker. He thinks about space and the universe and was telling me the difference between Marvel and DC Comics. He wears Marvel comics underoos because he doesn't want everyone to know DC comics are his favorite. Or vice versa.



The next morning before I took Brooklyn to Carli's and long before my surprise party I spent the morning trying to get Kyle to like me. And forget about Nathan! That kid HATES me! : ) I don't take it too personally though - he seems to only like you if he is actually sitting on Holly.
I managed to get this picture of him looking at me and not crying. Holly must have been nearby.


Kyle is one of us. He doesn't wake up too friendly! He was fine with me after a few hours.


Wednesday was spent mostly hanging out. Thursday morning we went to IHOP for breakfast. It was yummy. When we were leaving I had put Kyle on the hood of the car and he took off - straight for the windsheild and out of arms reach. I had my life flash before my eyes! He is going to hurt himself up on the roof and Holly will kill me! I coaxed him off and then he told me he wanted to go climb on all the cars! Oops - look what I started. He is just so cute though. Holly was trying to put him in time out and he was telling her to go to time out - "NO! You go to time out for two minutes!" Then he would sneak out and peak around the corner to see if she was watching him. Holy crap it was hysterical! I had to hid my face more then one time while Holly was disiplining him, just because he is so dang cute! He can only get away with that for a few more years anyway.




Brooklyn and I met up with Linda and Bailey at the outlet mall and did a bit of school clothes shopping. We got really good deals at the Levi outlet. I had to use Bailey a few times, she is 12, to tell Brooklyn that something was cool or cute or something so she would buy it. I no longer know what is cool and it would just be a waste of money for me if I tried to buy her clothes on my own. We had a late lunch and then back to Holly's to sleep. We had a long week with the wedding and company and everyone leaving Monday and with us leaving Tuesday to go to Vegas.

Friday we hung out at Holly's house until their family went to Utah to get some much needed R&R. We visited with my 91yr old grandpa. Played some pool at his house. He said that I look the same. I wasn't sure what I would get from him, he is often painfully blunt when he thinks you are getting fat, I was relieved. He is an awesome old man. Lots of old time stories about the ice man that would deliver ice for your ice box. I don't mind his stories, I do mind sitting in his stiffling hot house. We ran by Jason and Tara's for a quick visit with them - then to Becky's so I could see her boys. We raced to the airport to get there in time. I had registered with SWA cell phone update service. After we returned our rental car and checked our bags it was 8:30 our plane was supposed to leave at 9:30, I finally got my cellphone ding...our plane was delayed until 10:15. We ate dinner hung out. Boarded our plane at 10:00 - not to actually take off and leave Las Vegas until midnight! We had to siton the plane at the gate for 2 hours waiting and waiting for other passengers planes who had been delayed due to the weather in Vegas. We got home after 1am, Don was so sweet to pick us up - because I was too tired to drive. He dropped me back off at the airport Sat.am on his way to work to get my car. It is so nice to be able to call Don and have him come save my life.

Anyway, I didn't take many pictures at all while we there in Vegas. But we had a good time visiting everyone.
