When I got out of the recovery room and saw Don with Ava. I was so touched. He is so sweet with her!
Being his first baby he had a lot of cute questions. When do I feed her? When she is hungry.
When do I change her? When she is wet. Once my Mom and Brooklyn got to the hospital I was in semi-sleep, he tells Mom, I fed her. Mom says, did you burp her? I have to burp her?
I thought that was sweet.
He is so loving and so tender with her, I couldn't ask for anything better.
The first night home he stayed up until 2am watching her sleep. He was doing night time feeding duty. So when she woke up at 2:30 right after he went to sleep to eat was pretty funny.

Tuesday we had taken both of our cars to the hospital, thinking that the Dr. wasn't going to send us home and then when my Mom got here she would just drive home from the hospital.
Well, that didn't work out. We left my car up there anyway. Well when my water broke that didn't leave a car for her and Brooklyn to come to the hospital in, as no one drives "The Precious" other then Don. (that is his truck) So we were trying to make arrangements for Bill, our neighbor, to bring them up at about 10:00am. He couldn't get anyone to answer the door. Maybe they went for a walk? Called a cab? Who knew? Bill came to the hospital, alone. About 10 minutes later in walk my mom and Brooklyn. Brooklyn had convinced my mom that if they didn't get to the hospital right then, she wouldn't be able to see the baby on her first day of life. SO they walked! How cute is that? It is only like 2 maybe 2.5 miles, but still. Pretty sweet of them both to do that!
