So Brooklyn's game was yesterday at 8:30am. I don't mind the 8:30am games so much.
But they had pictures BEFORE the game! YUCK!!! So they had to be there at 7:30. Luckily for me, Don was home and took her and I arrived at 8:00.
Don is on a marathon work week. Death really does come in threes. Don's supervisor's gma died last Tuesday and she is taking 13 days off...really necessary?? She was 100 not that big of a shocker! Anyway...Wednesday his only other co-worker called in - his dad died and he wouldn't be coming back to work until the following week sometime. We thought that Don was going to have to be at work for 7 days straight. The big boss got someone to cover his shift Thursday and Friday so that he would be refreshed to work all this week, for those who don't know he works at a 24hr boys home and therefore, someone needs to be there 24 hours a day, and when 2 of the 3 of you are gone that leaves you!! So they are working on getting someone in a few hours Wed. so Don can attend Sandy's funeral.
Ok SOOO back to Saturday. Her game was good they tied at 0's. She played awesome! Mostly because it was the first game that Don got to see.

After that we came home she changed and we went to Virginia City with one of Brooklyn's friends to go watch the Camel Races. Yep...I said Camel Races. It has been going on for like 50 years or something. The races are the same weekend as the Hot Air Balloon Races, which we went to last year so this was our first year at the Camel Races.
I can't walk much due to the pelvic pain and stuff. So we stayed on one side of the road. Had ice cream and $3.00 bottled water, they jack prices up for the races. We sat around and watched the
Camel Parade and then headed down to the Camel Arena
- they actually sit on these stubborn animals and race them around a track. I guess the fact that they are stubborn is why it is so funny.

They also race Ostriches. That was hysterical - I don't think one person made it around the track still on their bird. Often times the bird revolting and chasing after the rider. Don't blame them though.
