Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary this last weekend. First I can't believe it is only 2 years ~ it just feels like I was never without Don in my life. We were married on the 20th of October 2005 and sealed the same day the following year. So it is a special day for Brooklyn also.

We decided that already having a big month we would just take it easy. Don and I went to dinner on Friday night and had Aunt Mandy and Uncle Sean babysit the girls. We had an enjoyable night out and enjoyed our each other's company.

We planned an ambitious day trip to Sacramento for the family on Saturday. It isn't so much a long drive it is only about 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive. But we left later then we wanted and having the baby we had to stop to feed and diaper change. We only had to stop once though, so that was nice. Once we got to Sacramento we walked around Old Town Sacramento. It is like Virginia City, but larger...and not so creepy! But old board walks and lots of stores.

So I should have taken pictures in the daylight - oh well. The lamp posts are wrapped in corn stalks for the fall. It was very pretty.

We walked through a toy store and saw this bear made from Legos. It was pretty cool I thought that Jaren and Kyle would love it. I tried several times to get a better picture of it but this guy kept walking in front of me. Argh! So this is the best I could get.

We walked a pier down to the Sacramento River and saw turtles and snakes and even a Sea Lion. He was sunning himself right below us. He looks so cute! He has been living in the river for several months and likes it there because there is a ton of fish to eat and no competition.
